This site is brought to you by a coalition of coalition of local organizations with a mission to promote peace and justice in central Arkansas.
Together, we produce a mosaic of programs that promote non-violence, stronger communities, and social justice for all people. Our events include including:
- Annual commemoration of Hiroshima and Nagasaki
- Arkansas Peace Week
- Pilgrimage for Peace
- Public demonstrations against war and injustice
- Public lectures by peace activists Father John Dear, Dr. Erica Chenoweth, Col. Ann Wright, and Noble Peace Prize winners Leymah Gbowee and Dr. Ira Helfand.
- Public forums and discussion about topics of Domestic and Foreign Policy, Social Justice and Nonviolence.
- Exhibits including American Friends Service Committee’s, Eyes Wide Open exhibit highlighting the human losses from the Iraqi war and the nationally-acclaimed “Unembedded” photo exhibit about the war in Iraq.
